After Winning This Battle, I Will Go Home And Get Married – Chapter 52.1 – Extra 1

Galactic Calendar, 2196 AD.

Sagittarius M17 Planet Military Base.

In this year, Arthur is nineteen years old.

Just graduated from the Imperial Military University less than half a year ago, he looks green and his eyes are bright.

He carried a suitcase of luggage, checked the room number, stood in front of a door with nervousness and seriousness and took a deep breath, then another deep breath before ringing the doorbell.

A few seconds later, a cold voice came from the intercom: “Who? What do you want?”

Arthur said: “I-I’m Arthur Felix, your new partner, moving in today.” Nervously, he clumsily added: “I wonder if you remember me?”

The door opened.

Arthur was self-conscious of his stupidity, how could he not remember? They’ve been dealing with this matter recently. Is he that stupid?

However, there were so many applicants to be Yan Xueshan’s partner; maybe he really couldn’t remember Arthur?

Didn’t they say that he was indifferent and would forget his former partners?

It was a double room.

The other bed has already been tidied up, clean and neat.

Yan Xueshan opened the door and asked: “Didn’t they give you the access card?”

“They did,” Arthur replied: “but I thought since today is my first day moving in, I should say hello to you.”

Yan Xueshan responded with an “Oh.” “Well, now you’ve said hello, next time, just open the door yourself.”

Yan Xueshan returned to the bedside, sat down with his back against the headboard, picked up the book he had been just reading and didn’t even glance at Arthur, completely uninterested in him.

Arthur stole a glance and noticed that Yan Xueshan was reading a book with plats illustrations?! A children’s picture book? Isn’t that for kids?

It was in stark contrast to Yan Xueshan’s cold demeanor.

Arthur couldn’t help his heart pounding with joy, thinking that he had finally fulfilled his wish to become Yan Xueshan’s partner!

He couldn’t help but steal glances at Yan Xueshan, wanting to look at him a bit more.

When Yan Xueshan, who had been stared at, turned his head he asked: “Is there something? Do you have any questions?”

“This room is the standard soldier’s rest area, without any modifications. You should know where the cabinet is, right? Do you need me to tell you?”

“Or do you want me to help?”

It felt like the beginning of university.

Arthur quickly shook his head: “No need, no need.”

He was afraid that Yan Xueshan would think he was unreliable, unable even to organize his own things.

He could do housework.

Because his parents didn’t want him to become the kind of person who becomes lazy and incompetent without household robots. In his junior high school years, they sent him to a military-style boarding school.

But from beginning to end, Yan Xueshan didn’t care about him.

This made Arthur feel a bit down.

They have already become partners; shouldn’t they get to know each other?

Yan Xueshan had no idea about the many thoughts in Arthur’s mind, and he just went to sleep and rest on time.

The next day, Arthur was afraid of being left behind by Yan Xueshan, so he hurriedly followed him for morning exercises. In the past few days, they didn’t have any missions, and they had just become partners. Unless there was no other choice, they wouldn’t be directly thrown into the battlefield without any time to adapt.

Two top-grade masters sergeants (a term used to address individuals who have reached a high level of matching rate) were essential military assets.

If they wasted them, they might not be able to replace them, as training a masters sergeants required a high cost.

Yan Xueshan glanced at him.

Arthur responded with a brilliant smile. His smile was always charming and very friendly, and anyone who saw it would have a favorable impression of him. However, Yan Xueshan, as if he hadn’t seen it, remained cold and indifferent.

The days of training passed in the blink of an eye.

Ten days later, when their compatibility rate barely reached 80%, they were sent on a mission.

Before getting into the machines, Yan Xueshan suddenly said to him: “If it gets too dangerous, retreat.”

“Don’t be too arrogant.”

At first, Arthur thought he had misheard.

In recent days, Yan Xueshan had been very sparing with his words, not saying more than ten words to him, all of them being simple “hm” or “okay.” Suddenly, he said such a long sentence, which surprised Arthur.

At first, Arthur thought he had misheard.

In recent days, Yan Xueshan had been very stingy with his words, not saying more than ten words to him, all of them being simple “hm” or “okay.” Suddenly, him saying such a long sentence really surprised Arthur.

Although he was touched, he was still reckless.

He had his own point of view, he felt that if a melee warrior thought “I’m going to run away” right from the start of a battle, tit would essentially mean death.

He wanted to push himself to his limits.

Yan Xueshan was a very powerful sniper master sergeant but he couldn’t just hide under his wings like a fledgling bird just because he was young.
Although everyone cheered for him when they got out of the mech cabin, Arthur still felt guilty for doing something wrong. After all, Yan Xueshan had reminded him to be cautious before the battle.

He looked at Yan Xueshan.

Yan Xueshan was clearly standing in the crowd, being surrounded and congratulated, yet he gave off an air of solitude.

His posture was not overly straight, nor could it be described as nonchalant. He simply stood there casually, his body tightly wrapped in the mech suit, making Arthur too embarrassed to look. But even with such a hot and tempting figure, Yan Xueshan’s expression remained as cold as his name.

Yan Xueshan seemed a bit puzzled by the gaze Arthur directed at him, hesitating slightly before nodding slightly.

Arthur was overjoyed.

This was more uplifting to his spirits than receiving a commendation from the president.

Yan Xueshan went ahead.

Arthur followed.

He was in a bit of a daze, having been bewitched, and had followed Yan Xueshan into a room without realizing where it was.
However, right in front of him Yan Xueshan sat down and begin to take off/undress straight away.

Arthur: “!!!”

He didn’t react for a moment, didn’t even avert his eyes.

Yan Xueshan had already stripped naked, but completely ignored him, hitching his mech suit to the resting bench, going to his locker to rummage through towels and shower gel, placing them in a small washbasin, and going straight into one of the shower room’s compartments.

It was then that Arthur, who had been left out felt heat up to his nose.

He felt warm liquid flowing out.

Arthur touched it.

His fingertips were stained with blood. Nosebleed.

He finally came back to his senses and went to find his storage locker. There were no tissues, only a new towel. He had no choice but to use it to wipe.

Embarrassing.

    Ty for the translation!

Side note: a few chapters in the middle are repeated

Uh can’t see my reply until it is approved, but I have a feeling I mistyped my sentence. A few paragraphs in the center of this chapter* are repeated. I think I may have instead written that a few chapters were repeated, which is simply not true. Whoops!
